Monica Laskay says that she was being groomed for her career in this business since she was a child growing up in a Colombian family with six siblings.

“We would tickle each other and massage each other's shoulders, and then get the same in return. It was our family's way of bonding and nurturing each other as we shared what had been our day to night."

After having her two children, she gave them massages to help them relax and simply to show her love for them. Getting to 1994, when Monica attended several personal growth seminars and obtained a master's degree that, according to her, changed her life. Somewhere along the way he realized that he had a gift for making people feel better. Her natural instincts lead her to affirm and encourage people where they are, helping them see their own beauty.

She also realized the healing power of the human touch when delivered in a safe, non-threatening and nurturing way, through massage that relieves stress and restores a person's sense of well-being.

At the request of his friends and acquaintances, he began driving to people's homes, giving lipodissolution therapies, weight loss, and detoxification protocols. Over time, this grew into a real business, although he did not yet have a physical office space. Meanwhile, she was developing her own protocols even as she worked to refine her services based on customer feedback.

His organically growing mobile spa business slowly evolved, by popular demand, into his first commercial space in Malibu, California, in March 2011, after customers asked if they could come to his house, instead of reverse. All advertising was solely word of mouth, from satisfied customers spreading the word. He added spa services as clients requested them, making a foray into cutting-edge skin care treatments that were all the rage in California.

His spa, which began in 2011 with just two rooms, soon expanded to nine rooms with a permanent staff of eleven and many more on call. In 2012, Angelina magazine called it "Malibu's best kept secret," and Groupon called it Malibu's best spa.

Success propelled her to the East Coast in 2014, where she seeks to bring a little Malibu to the heart of everything she does.
